Nicholas Christensen
Executive Officer

Executive Officer Nick Christensen was appointed to Command Staff for the Larimer County Sheriff's Office in January 2011. He oversees community and government relations, professional standards, criminal analysis, evidence and records.
Nick was President of Chrisland Commercial Real Estate, Inc. and has been active in the commercial real estate profession for 17 years as an attorney, broker and developer. Throughout that time, he has been active in the community on numerous non-profit and industry boards. Nick currently serves on the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado Regional Development Council and is a past chairman. He is also incoming chairman of the United Way of Larimer County board of directors. He is a past chairman of the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation board of directors and a past president of the Northern Colorado Commercial Association of Realtors. Mr. Christensen has also served as an Adjunct Professor at CSU.
While pursuing his Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, Nick served three years as an investigative aide with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Special Investigations Unit and was awarded a commendation for outstanding contributions to Minnesota law enforcement.
In addition to holding a J.D. degree, Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Colorado State University. He is also a licensed attorney (inactive status) in Colorado. Prior to his appointment to his current role with the Sheriff's Office, he served as a volunteer assisting with cold case homicide investigations.
