Differential Police Response is a service of the Sheriff's Office which provides the public a convenient means of reporting crimes and losses.

Established in June, 1995, the DPR Unit provides cost effective response to low priority calls for service.

Callers with low priority calls are given the option of having an officer respond in person or having the situation handled over the phone.

The service of DPR Officers ensures the availability of patrol deputies for immediate response to serious and emergency calls.

The DPR Unit offers citizens a more efficient means of serving their needs.

The DPR Unit is presently staffed by three Certified Peace Officers.

Combined, they handled 613 case reports and fingerprinted almost 3,000 people in 2004.

Some of these cases resulted in charges and subsequent arrests.

Over the past ten years, the DPR Unit has proven to be a valuable asset to Larimer County residents.
